  1. Great read, couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve made the mistake of underestimating the tiers of expertise on different hiking trails and ended up on a mile long expert one in the Redwoods. It kicked my butt way more than any gym outing

    1. Definitely! That was what happened just yesterday. My friend and I misjudged the length of time it would take with our 7 kids total and wound up trekking 3 hours into the forest. Great workout for the body and mind! We can barely move today.

    1. Mt. Rainier is on my bucket list! Hiking is definitely a great way to get/stay in shape. Once I account for all the gear and the weight of my toddler, I get a better workout than anything a gym could give. Just yesterday we “accidentally” went on a 3 hour hike, and today I can barely move!
